Job Posting - City of Gallatin

The City of Gallatin is currently accepting applications for a General Supervisor for the Natural Gas Division. Duties include: Planning, coordinating, overseeing and supervising the work of public utility work crews involved in the installation, maintenance or repair of natural gas facilities. This is a 40 hrs per week day shift position with weekend work required. Must be a high school graduate and possess extensive experience in construction, repair and maintenance work including considerable supervisory experience with natural gas and possess a valid driver’s license. The starting rate is $21.85 + excellent benefits.

Tennessee Gas Association is comprised of municipal gas systems, utility districts, gas authorities, private and public gas companies, pipelines, gas marketers, affiliated members and housing authorities. TGA members represent approximately 10,000 Tennessee employees serving over 1,200,000 customers with 31,000 miles of distribution line. TGA works closely with the Tennessee Regulatory Authority, American Gas Association, American Public Gas Association, Southern Gas Association and neighboring state natural gas associations.

This conference was designed for every employee who has contact with your customer. Customer Service doesn’t stop inside the Customer Service department anymore. Every employee who has customer contact and represents your company should attend including operations employees, service representatives, field employees, meter readers, customer service representatives, cashiers, credit employees and office staff and management. The conference begins at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13th which provides time for you and your employees to drive up the same day of the conference. The conference concludes by noon on Wednesday, May 14th to provide you and your employees plenty of time to return to your home towns and limiting time away from the office and cutting travel costs. Every attendee receives a goody bag filled with complimentary donations.
